Even in 2022, when I had a negative short-term outlook on the market, I was telling investors throughout the 2nd half of the year that there were amazing opportunities in the market. I was interviewed by Julia La Roche in July 2022 and highlighted the attractiveness of companies like GOOGL 0.00%↑ and AMZN 0.00%↑. At the time, I acknowledged that they could go lower (they did), but stated that they were on sale and giving long-term investors attractive entry points.
Since the lows in Q4 2022, just 4 months after that interview, GOOGL has gained +118% and AMZN has gained +136%.
The best part is that I put my money where my mouth is, with both stocks ranked in the top 10 largest positions in my long-term portfolio.
